Lioneus Labs ("Lioneus Labs", "we", "us") is a venture studio that builds and launches new products and companies. This policy explains our general approach to privacy — for this website and for everything we ship. Our guiding principle is the same everywhere: collect as little as possible.

This website

lioneus.com is a static website. It has no accounts, no forms, and it does not set cookies or run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. The only third-party requests it makes are to Google Fonts to load the site's typeface, which involves the standard technical information any web request carries (such as your IP address). If you email us, we use your address only to reply.

Our principles

Minimal by default. We collect only what a product needs to work, and nothing more.
Anonymous where possible. When a product can work without knowing who you are, it does.
Never sold. We do not sell personal information — not on this site, not in any product we launch.
AI with care. Where our products use AI services, that processing is used to power features, never to identify you.
Clear per-product policies. Every product we launch ships with its own privacy policy; the sections below cover our current products.

Lioneus (iOS app)

Lioneus is a social game where two strangers each answer one AI-generated question, blind. If they choose the same answer they match, chat briefly, and may choose to keep talking.

What we collect

Anonymous account. On first launch we create an anonymous account for you. You do not need to provide your name, email, or phone number to play.
Nickname (optional). You may enter a first name or nickname. It is shown to another player only if you both choose to Connect. You can skip it — by default you appear as "Explorer".
Gameplay data. The answer you choose for each question, your match outcomes (whether you and the other player chose the same answer), and session details (for example, whether you connected and how long you chatted). This is linked only to your anonymous account ID.
Messages. Messages you send during the post-match chat and in connected conversations.
Device & diagnostic data. Basic technical information needed to operate the app and fix problems (for example, crash and performance data).

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, or special-category sensitive personal information.

How we use your information

To run the game and match you with another player.
To improve match quality over time using behavioral signals tied to your anonymous ID — never to your real-world identity.
To keep the community safe (see Moderation & safety).
To understand product performance in aggregate.

Moderation & safety

Messages are screened by an automated AI moderation system for sexual content, hate speech, threats, and requests for personal contact information. Blocked messages and any reports you submit may be stored so we can enforce our rules and protect users. You can report or block another player at any time, and a reported player will not be matched with you again.

AI processing

Question generation, the seeded chat openers shown after a match, and message moderation use AI services provided by Anthropic (Claude). Your gameplay answers and messages may be processed by these services to generate content and to screen messages. This processing is not used to identify you.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, anonymized, cluster-level insights with partners; raw individual data is never sold. We rely on infrastructure providers (for example, Supabase) to operate the app, who process data on our behalf under their own safeguards.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is tied to your anonymous account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below. Deleting the app from your device also clears your local session.

Children

Lioneus is rated 17+ and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in our products or on lioneus.com.
